Backlink profile, domain rank, and spam score

The Domain Analytics tab provides a comprehensive view of your website's backlink profile and domain authority. Data is sourced from DataForSEO and helps you understand your site's SEO health beyond content.

Accessing Domain Analytics

  1. Click Analytics in the sidebar navigation.
  2. Select the Domain Analytics tab.

Overview Metrics

The top section shows your key domain metrics:

Domain RankYour global domain authority ranking
Backlink CountTotal number of backlinks pointing to your site
Referring DomainsNumber of unique domains linking to you
Referring Main DomainsNumber of unique root domains (excluding subdomains)
Broken BacklinksLinks pointing to pages that return errors
Broken PagesYour pages that return 404 or other error codes

Spam Score

A color-coded indicator showing the likelihood that your backlink profile appears spammy to search engines:

ColorRisk Level
GreenLow spam risk — healthy backlink profile
YellowModerate risk — some questionable links
RedHigh risk — potential spam issues

A high spam score may indicate low-quality or unnatural backlinks that could negatively impact your rankings.

Detailed Breakdowns

Top-Level Domain Distribution

Shows where your backlinks come from by domain extension:

  • .com, .org, .net, .edu, .gov, etc.
  • A diverse TLD distribution is generally a positive signal.

Categorizes your backlinks by type:

  • Anchor — Text links with anchor text
  • Image — Links from images
  • Redirect — Links through redirects
  • Form — Links from form submissions
  • And other types

Platform Type Breakdown

Shows the types of platforms linking to you:

  • Blogs
  • News sites
  • Forums
  • Social media
  • And other platform categories

Server Information

Technical details about your domain:

Click the Refresh button to pull the latest domain analytics data from DataForSEO.

Using Domain Analytics

Check the broken backlinks and broken pages counts regularly. Fix or redirect broken pages to preserve link equity.

Review the platform types and TLD distribution to understand where your links come from. This can inform your outreach and content distribution strategy.
