Rich text editor with AI rewrite and image regeneration

Wyrote includes a full-featured rich text editor powered by TipTap. You can edit any generated article before publishing — adjust wording, restructure sections, or use AI-powered rewriting tools to improve specific passages.

Accessing the Editor

  1. Open any article from the Content Library or Content View page.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. The editor opens with the article's current content loaded.

Editor Modes

The editor supports two modes, and you can toggle between them at any time:

Rich Text Mode (Default)

A WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor with a formatting toolbar:

  • Headings — H1 through H6
  • Text formatting — Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough
  • Lists — Ordered and unordered lists
  • Links — Insert and edit hyperlinks
  • Images — View and manage inline images
  • Code blocks — Formatted code sections
  • Blockquotes — Quoted text sections

Markdown Mode

A raw markdown textarea for users who prefer working directly with markdown:

  • Full markdown syntax support
  • Useful for copy-pasting from external tools
  • Content is converted between formats when you switch modes

Tip: Switching modes converts the content automatically. No data is lost during conversion.

AI Rewrite (Bubble Menu)

One of the editor's most powerful features is the AI-powered rewrite menu.

How to Use It

  1. Select any text in the editor by highlighting it.
  2. A floating bubble menu appears near your selection.
  3. Choose an AI action:
ActionWhat It Does
ImproveEnhances the writing quality while preserving meaning
ShortenCondenses the text to be more concise
SimplifyRewrites using simpler language and shorter sentences
Fix GrammarCorrects grammar, spelling, and punctuation
CustomEnter your own rewrite prompt (e.g., "Make this more persuasive" or "Add a statistic")

The selected text is replaced with the AI-rewritten version.

Note: AI rewrite actions count against your daily AI Actions quota. Check your usage in the top header bar.

Image Regeneration

You can regenerate any image directly from the editor:

  1. Click on any image in the article.
  2. A menu appears with the option to regenerate the image.
  3. Optionally enter a custom prompt (up to 500 characters) to guide the new image.
  4. The new image replaces the original.

This is useful when:

  • An image doesn't match the section's content
  • You want a different visual style
  • The image needs to better represent a specific concept

Title and Metadata

The editor also lets you modify article metadata:

Title

  • The title field is at the top of the editor.
  • Editing the title automatically updates the URL slug based on the new title.

Meta Description

  • Located in the right sidebar.
  • A character counter shows progress toward the recommended 160-character limit.
  • Write a compelling description — this appears in search engine results.

URL Slug

  • Also in the right sidebar.
  • Auto-generated from the title, but you can manually edit it.
  • Only appears for articles that already have content.

AI Title & Meta Regeneration

In the right sidebar, under AI Actions:

  • Click Regenerate Title & Meta to have AI create a new title and meta description.
  • This uses one AI action from your daily quota.

Saving Your Work

  • Click the Save button in the right sidebar to save changes.
  • The editor does not auto-save — make sure to save before navigating away.

Important: Always save your changes before leaving the editor. Unsaved edits will be lost.

Editor Tips

A helpful Editor Tips card in the sidebar reminds you:

  • AI Rewrite — Select text to see rewrite options
  • Image Regeneration — Click images to regenerate them
  • Keyboard shortcuts — Standard formatting shortcuts work (Ctrl/Cmd + B for bold, etc.)

Best Practices

  1. Review before publishing — AI-generated content is high quality, but a human review ensures it matches your brand voice perfectly.
  2. Use AI rewrite sparingly — It's most effective for fixing specific passages, not rewriting entire articles.
  3. Check your links — Verify that internal and external links are correct and relevant.
  4. Optimize meta descriptions — Keep them under 160 characters and make them compelling for click-through.
  5. Save frequently — The editor doesn't auto-save, so save your work regularly.

Next Steps

  • Content View — Review articles and access scores, JSON-LD, and export options
  • Style Settings — Configure default content length, image style, and more
  • Voice Profile — Set up your writing voice for more consistent content
