Automations

Manual, Scheduled, and Auto publish modes

Automations control how Wyrote handles your daily content queue. Choose between full manual control, scheduled auto-approval, or completely hands-free operation.

Accessing Automations

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar navigation.
  2. Select the Automations tab.

Publish Modes

Wyrote offers three automation levels. Select one by clicking its radio button:

Manual Mode (Default)

You have complete control over every piece of content.

  • Approval: You manually approve each article from the dashboard.
  • Generation: Content only generates when you click Approve.
  • Publishing: You decide when and if to publish.

Best for: Users who want to review every article before it's created.

Scheduled Mode

Content is automatically approved and generated at configured times.

  • Approval: Articles auto-approve at your scheduled time slots each day.
  • Generation: Pipeline starts automatically after approval.
  • Publishing: You still manually publish (or set up webhooks for auto-publishing).
  • Override: You can still Skip articles before the scheduled time to prevent them from being generated.

Best for: Users who want consistent daily content production but want to review before publishing.

Auto Mode

Fully automated content production and delivery.

  • Approval: Articles are automatically approved.
  • Generation: Pipeline runs without intervention.
  • Publishing: Content is automatically sent via webhook when ready.
  • Requirement: A webhook must be configured before enabling Auto mode.

Best for: Users who trust their content strategy and want maximum output with minimum effort.

Note: Even in Auto mode, you can skip articles before they're processed. Check your dashboard early in the day to review the queue.

Daily Quota

The Automations tab also displays your current daily quota based on your plan:

Automation Status

A status indicator shows whether automations are currently active:

  • On — Automations are running (Scheduled or Auto mode)
  • Off — Manual mode; no automations active

Combining Automations with Webhooks

For a fully automated pipeline:

  1. Set publish mode to Auto.
  2. Configure a webhook in Integrations.
  3. Connect your CMS via Zapier, Make, or a custom handler.

Result: Wyrote generates content → sends it via webhook → your CMS publishes it. No manual intervention required.

Switching Modes

You can switch between modes at any time:

  • Changes take effect immediately.
  • Content currently being generated continues regardless of mode change.
  • The daily queue adjusts to the new mode on the next cycle.

Best Practices

  1. Start with Manual — Especially when you're new to Wyrote, review content quality before automating.
  2. Graduate to Scheduled — Once you're confident in the content quality, let the system auto-generate while you retain publishing control.
  3. Use Auto for scale — When your content strategy is dialed in and you have a webhook connected to your CMS.
  4. Always check your queue — Even in automated modes, occasional review ensures content stays on track.
